After a successful year touring as The Devon Allman Project with special guest Duane Betts – the sons of Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts have joined forces to form The Allman Betts Band.

The new TABB includes Devon on guitar, vocals and keyboard, Duane on guitar, Berry Oakley Jr. (the son of original The Allman Brothers Band bassist Berry Oakley) on bass, Peter Levin (Gregg Allman’s Hammond B3 player), slide guitar virtuoso John Stachela Jr. and percussionists R. Scott Bryan (Sheryl Crow) and John Lum.

There will be a new The Allman Betts Band album in 2019 and a worldwide tour that features new music, songs from their solo projects and classic Allman Brothers and Gregg Allman tunes in honor of the 50th anniversary of The Allman Brothers Band.

It is very easy to have preconceived ideas about two sons bred from an iconic band like The Allman Brothers. But the pairing of Devon Allman and Duane Betts, two guitar slingers, is nothing short of glorious.

The Allman Brothers provided years of music that crossed the boundaries of jazz, rock, country and psychedelic rock. The band was ahead of its time and its legacy needs to reach a new, younger generation. The Allman Betts Band carries on the tradition very well while maintaining its own identity as highly creative songwriters and musicians.
