Al Taylor

Al “DJ ACT” Taylor always had a love for good music and good people having a good time. Music was not only a hobby but a true passion.

In 2003 Taylor had his first Old School Party at a large dance hall and drew over 300 people because of his marketing and promotion skills. A niche was filled: good music, nice venue, good food and good people.

In the beginning, Taylor hired DJs to provide the music; however, people wanted to hear him. He has been the DJ at his parties ever since. Al has been a fixture at Berks Jazz Fest since 2015.

Al is the president of ACT Jams Productions which is “Keeping Great Music Alive!” He is the Organizer and Event Chair for the Brass City Jazz Fest (the first ever!) in Waterbury, Connecticut. Al’s “The Groove” show is currently syndicated on CD101.9 Smooth Jazz New York and 102.5 FM WJTI Milwaukee,  SmoothJazzMilwaukee.com, SmoothJazzFlorida.com and SmoothJazzDC.com.
