Boscov Theater hosting premiere screening of Brian Culbertson’s new live concert film

Brian Culbertson fans will have two opportunities to see the contemporary jazz star during the 34th annual Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest.

One live on stage. One on the big screen.

In addition to his live concert on Saturday, April 5, at the Scottish Rite Cathedral, Brian will be hosting a special premiere screening of his latest concert film -- “The Trilogy Tour: Live from Detroit” -- the next night.

The GoggleWorks Center for the Arts and the Berks Jazz Fest have teamed up with Brian to present the screening in the Boscov Theater at the GoggleWorks on Sunday, April 6.

Brian will greet and hang with fans when the theater opens at 6:00 p.m. before hosting a Q&A at 6:30 p.m.

The film starts at 7:00 p.m. at the 130-seat theater.

Tickets are $10 and will go on sale Friday, February 28. For tickets go to: https://goggleworks.org/event/brian-culbertson-the-trilogy-tour-live-concert-film/

“I’m so excited to premiere this new concert film at the Berks Jazz Fest,” said Culbertson. “To me, it’s the perfect place to hold this special screening, one that encompasses so many events over the 10 days. Thanks to John (Ernesto) and the fest team for making this happen, once again."

Yes, this will be the second time Brian has hosted a screening during the Berks Jazz Fest.

During the 20th anniversary fest in 2010, Brian hosted the screening of the film “Brian Culbertson Live from the Inside” at Reading Theaters11 & IMAX.

Brian sat with fans, enjoyed some popcorn, and watched the film that included live performances, interviews, and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the live CD.

Now 15 years later, Brian is looking forward to joining Berks Jazz Fest fans again to watch his latest concert film, which will be officially released in March.

“We're thrilled to host the premiere screening of Brian’s concert film at the GoggleWorks,” said Jon Jordan, Boscov Theater manager. “This is a unique opportunity for fans to experience Brian’s incredible talent on the big screen, with surround sound that truly engulfs you.

“There's something special about hearing music in a movie theater, where the immersive audio and visuals create an unforgettable atmosphere and experience. We’re thrilled to be working with Berks Jazz Fest to share this film with the community!”
