Bosccov’s Berks Jazz Fest Encore Online concerts sponsored by The Smooth Jazz Cruise

For the holiday weekend, the Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest Encore Online concert series will feature two major headliners for the Facebook concerts.

Friday, May 22 @ 8 p.m.
Larry Graham & Graham Central Station
(DT 2017)

Saturday, May 23 @ 8 p.m.
Jeffrey Osborne
(DT 2019)

Since the series started on April 2, the BAC has presented 22 encore major concert performances from the 2017, 2018 and 2019 festivals.

Facebook stats show that fans — from 80 countries — have spent 425,000 minutes viewing the concerts (7,100 hours).

Moving forward, two additional Encore Online concerts will be available each weekend on Facebook — one on Friday and one on Saturday at 8:00 p.m.

Acclaimed bassist Gerald Veasley, the festival’s official ambassador, will host the online shows.

Entertainment Cruise Productions (ECP) has come onboard as Encore Online sponsor with The Smooth Jazz Cruise brand.

The 30th anniversary Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic and rescheduled until April 9-18, 2021 with the same artist lineup and schedule. All current tickets will be honored on the corresponding artist/show dates.

To help fill the void this year, Berks Arts Council and festival officials decided to provide fans with these great online concert experiences during this time of social distancing.

After the scheduled Facebook posting, all concerts are available on the Berks Jazz Fest Vimeo Channel so fans can view shows they missed.

The footage of the concerts was captured by ChoiceLIVE (formerly Upstage Video) from Lititz while projecting them live on the videoboards at the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading Hotel and the Scottish Rite Cathedral.

Berks Jazz Fest videographer Andrew Lepley coordinated and prepared all the videos from selected festival concerts over the past three years. Mike Anderson, who produces the festival television and video promotions, created the promo video and logo for Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest Encore Online.

Festival officials are asking fans to consider making a voluntary donation to Berks Arts Council to help offset the financial losses resulting from the postponed 30th annual Berks Jazz Fest. Please visit berksjazzfest.com to make your donation.
