NAJEE with special guests BOBBY LYLE, CHRIS WALKER
DoubleTree by Hilton Reading / Grand Ballroom
Tickets: $59 (Reserved Seating)

Jerome Najee Rasheed, known simply as Najee, moves easily among the soprano, alto and tenor saxophones and flute, playing contemporary jazz infused with his deep and broad experience with jazz, R&B, soul, pop and classical music.

A product of Dr. Billy Taylor’s Jazzmobile program as a high school student in New York City, Najee went on to graduate from the New England Conservatory after touring with Area Code. Since then he has released 16 albums, most recently “Center of the Heart” (2019), several of which went platinum and gold.

Najee has performed with virtually everyone, but highlights of his career include participating in Nelson Mandela’s birthday celebration along with Chaka Khan and Stevie Wonder in 1998; an appearance at the Clinton White House; and touring with the late Prince from 2000 to 2003.

He will be performing with special guests Bobby Lyle and Chris Walker at Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest on Saturday, April 2 in the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading.

Chris Walker is replacing Phil Perry for this performance. Due to unexpected circumstance, Perry is not available to perform.
