Legendary trumpeter and composer Randy Brecker’s music is almost mythic.

Brecker, who has received 18 Grammy Award nominations and won six, has helped shape the sound of jazz, R&B and rock for more than four decades. He has been called a music master, one of the most proficient trumpeters of his generation.

Brecker’s trumpet and flugelhorn have performed and/or recorded with Frank Sinatra, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, Aerosmith, James Taylor, Frank Zappa, Steely Dan, Lou Reed, Parliament-Funkadelic, Blue Öyster Cult, Dire Straits, Todd Rundgren, Blood Sweat & Tears, Jaco Pastorius, George Benson, Spyro-Gyra, Charles Mingus and Horace Silver.

Brecker was with the iconic Blood, Sweat & Tears in 1967 and later teamed up with his brother, the late Michael Brecker, in the popular funk-oriented Brecker Brothers and in the 1990s he toured with the reunited Brecker Brothers.

From 1975 to 1981, the Brecker Brothers ruled jazz-funk with their splicings of virtuosic hard bop and dance floor grooves.

As a solo artist, Brecker has released numerous outstanding albums. His 2017 CD Whispers on the Wind was his 26th release. Brecker’s new CD with the NDR Big Band features 11 Jörg Achim Keller arrangements of Randy’s tunes from different periods, and also features special guests David Sanborn, Ada Rovatti and Wolfgang Haffner.

Brecker also is featured on jazz-funk drummer Isaiah Stewart’s 2018 album Summer Beat.

Saxophonist extraordinaire Eric Marienthal’s astounding versatility allows him to seamlessly transition to various genres and collaborations.

Marienthal is a multiple Grammy Award winner who has performed in over 75 different countries, recorded 15 solo albums and played on hundreds of records, films, television shows and commercial jingles. His sound is superlative across jazz, jazz fusion, smooth jazz and pop genres.

He also is a world-class composer, arranger and educator. He has published numerous improvisation books and videos.

As well as gigging as a band leader and maintaining a busy schedule of clinics and master classes as a music educator in person and online, he has been playing lead alto with the 18-piece orchestra Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band and busy touring with the Elektric Band, still led by the legendary Chick Corea.

Terrell Stafford has been hailed as “one of the great players of our time, a fabulous trumpet player” by piano legend McCoy Tyner.

Stafford is recognized as an incredibly gifted and versatile player. He combines a deep love of melody with his own brand of spirited and adventurous lyricism.

Stafford’s exceptionally expressive and well-defined musical talent allows him to dance in and around the rich trumpet tradition of his predecessors while making his own inroads.
