The Sax Pack is a smooth jazz group featuring three world-class saxophone players: Steve Cole, Jeff Kashiwa and Jackiem Joyner.

All of them have enjoyed lengthy solo careers but were inspired when Kashiwa presented the idea of a trio tour around 2003 after seeing a PBS documentary on The Rat Pack. The concept was an instant success and has resulted in lengthy annual tours.

As with the original Rat Pack with Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr., they recreate the original chemistry and banter but instead of singing use their phenomenal abilities on the saxophone to communicate with the audience.

Cole is one of the most celebrated saxophonists in contemporary jazz and has been ever since he exploded on the scene in 1998. His catchy singles made him an instant radio favorite and he cranked them out with regularity on subsequent albums.

Kashiwa is one of the most compelling saxophonists in contemporary jazz. Having established himself in the 1990s as one of the most diverse saxmen during his decade-long tenure with The Rippingtons, Kashiwa’s instincts led him to more dynamic endeavors through his solo career.

The release of Main Street Beat in 2017, Joyner’s sixth album, coincided with his 10th anniversary as a recording artist. His 2007 debut Babysoul earned Debut Artist of the Year honors from Smooth Jazz News.

Two years later, his sophomore set, Lil Man Soul, spawned two No. 1 singles on the Billboard chart and won the Song of the Year trophy for “I’m Waiting For You” from the American Smooth Jazz Awards. His self-titled 2010 album Jackiem Joyner solidified his position as a consistent hit-maker.
